St. George’s clergy and
staff
St. George’s has a 16-person vestry
(Board of Directors) and a very active congregation that embodies the ministry
of the laity. We build community collegially, not hierarchically. We also have a great staff of ordained and lay people who help us coordinate our mission and ministry. |

Hello, my name is
Ron Crocker. My wife Donna
Crocker and I are transplanted New Englanders who delight in now living in Northern Virginia. The main thing about me is … I am absolutely committed to collegial ministry and would welcome you to share your gifts and talents to do God’s work at St. George’s. Come, build community. |
 |
I am
Suzannah Rohman. I come to Northern Virginia and St. George’s by way of
Delaware and various other states, but am a native of Maine. I am very excited to be in such a wonderful community. |

My name is Robert Wetherington and I am a postulant
in the Diocese of Atlanta and a second-year student at
Virginia Theological Seminary. I am happy to be called to serve as the seminarian
for St. George’s Episcopal Church. I am 26 years old and am unmarried (although
I am engaged). I am excited to work with St George’s for the next two years, and
to be an active part of your worship community. I wish you Peace in our Lord
Jesus Christ.

My name is
Jane Tavernier
and I have been the Director of Music at St.
Georges since 1981. I also serve as organist and direct the adult, childrens, and
bell choirs. You can generally find me at St. George’s on Tuesday
mornings, Thursday evenings, Sunday mornings, and on days with weddings or
funerals. However, if you can sing you won’t have to find me—I will
hunt you down and beg you to join the choir! I have a Bachelor of Music and a
Bachelor of Music Education degrees in organ performance from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea,
Ohio; a Master of Music degree in organ performance from the University of North Texas in Denton,
Texas; and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Solo Vocal Performance, from the University of Maryland
at College Park.
My job at St. George’s is
part-time, so I also am a Lecturer in Voice at
Mary Washington College, the Catholic University of America, and an Instructor
in Voice at Northern Virginia Community College.
In my spare time I am an opera and oratorio singer and have performed with opera companies and choral
groups throughout the country.

My name is
Thanh Nguyen
and I have been St. George’s full-time sexton since 1995. I keep the
buildings and grounds clean and in good working order. My work hours are
7:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Mondays through Thursdays and 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM on
Fridays and Saturdays.
In a past life I was an officer in the South Vietnamese Army for ten years.
After communists took over my country, I was
imprisoned by
them for almost six years. My family and I came to the United
States in November 1994 via a US government program for Vietnamese people who were in Communist
prisons more than three years. On June 23, 2000, I became an American citizen.
I am married and have two college-age children. We went to the Baptist Church in Vietnam before coming to the United States,
but now we are members of St. Patricks Episcopal Church in Falls Church, Virginia.
