Clergy and Staff
Meet the clergy and other staff at St. George's
St. George’s has a 12-person vestry (Board of Directors) and a very active congregation that embodies the ministry of the laity. We build community collegialy, not hierarchically. We also have a great staff of ordained and lay people who help us coordinate our mission and ministry.

View photos of Shearon's installation as St. George's Rector.
Shearon began her ministry as St. George's Rector on the first Sunday of Advent, 2010.
Upon her ordination in 2003, Shearon served as Assistant Rector, and later Associate Rector, at St. Mark's Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. While at St. Mark's, she helped found a diocese-wide network for ministry to "20s and 30s" and became involved in the "emerging church" network operating in the Washington and Virginia dioceses. She remains involved in these efforts and currently serves as a chaplain at the National Cathedral.
Since that time, Shearon has served a number of parishes. Most recently, she served as Interim Vicar at St. Gabriel's, a new church plant in Leesburg.
Shearon and her husband Robbie, a retired naval officer, live in Alexandria. They have three children.
