Prayer Request
(This form sends the information you supply to St.
George’s parish office.) Please note: If you
wish to change your entry please refresh your browser.
|
Prayer is communicating with God. Through prayer, we
express to God our gratitude for what we have received, seek
his guidance for your life, and request special gifts and
assistance for ourselves or others.

Thank you for keeping us updated on the
condition of your friends and loved ones. For the benefit of those who are not
familiar with our prayer list, here’s how it works. The staff maintains a master
prayer list that keeps track of:
-
The person we are to
pray for.
-
The reason we are
praying: illness, surgery, marriage, traveling, etc.
-
The name, phone
number, or e-mail address of the person who submitted the name and their
relationship to the person we are praying for (father, self, etc.).
-
The length of time the
name is to remain on the list. Please note: names will remain on the list for
two weeks unless otherwise requested. For travel the name will remain on the
prayer list through the return date.
-
Updated information we
have received from you concerning the situation. (Home from hospital, more
tests needed, improved, moved to nursing home, etc.) This really helps the
clergy when they visit.
St.
George’s Intercessory Prayer Group prays on a daily basis and provides an
immediate and in-depth prayer opportunity. Contents of prayer submissions are
kept in strict confidence.
The master list is kept up to date and the clergy and staff are
kept fully informed. We go over the list in depth each week at the staff
meeting. We e-mail the public prayer list to those on the parish e-mail list and, on
Wednesday mornings, we print the public prayer list for the Sunday bulletins. I would be
happy to place names in the “thanksgiving” section of the prayer list, upon
being notified of healing or improvement. Travelers will automatically be added
to the thanksgivings on the Sunday after they return.
