The Saint George's Choir shares responsibility with the Minister of Music for leading congregational singing at St. George’s 10:30am liturgy and on feast days. The choir sings a wide range of repertoire from chant and renaissance motets to spirituals and modern works, as well as music from our rich Anglican heritage of choral music. A Festival of Lessons and Carols is sung each December and other special services and events are held throughout the year.
You do not to be a professional singer, although a pleasant voice and sense of pitch are helpful. Most important is an eagerness to be challenged, stimulated, and open to experiencing the reward of spiritual and musical growth working. The Minister of Music makes time for individual assistance for all members of the choir who wish to improve their vocal skills and/or work on the choir's repertoire.
Director: Dr. Ben Keseley
