In the synoptic Gospels, Jesus invites potential disciples to follow him. He is not asking potential followers to accompany him to a physical place; he is inviting them to embark on a journey of self-transformation. Through Scripture, Christ calls us to a journey of self-transformation today. During Lent, join your fellow St. Georgians as we examine where we are on our individual and corporate spiritual journeys, using a guided reflection on the Scripture that we read during The Great Vigil of Easter. Our study will begin on March 10, the First Sunday in Lent and continue through Palm Sunday. To accommodate the range of lived experience at St. George's, we will conduct three groups: one focused on the 20's and 30's community, which will be held in the EYC Room upstairs from 12:15-1:30; one focused on people longer in life than the 20's and 30's, but young at heart, which will be held after coffee hour in the Rhodes Room; and an intergenerational study, which will be held during the Adult Forum time between the 8:00 am and 10:30 am services. Please join us for this prayerful discussion of the Scripture that calls us to renew our Baptismal vows and begin the journey anew!
