Praying Together.png

For the season of Advent, we invite you to meet with one of our intercessor over zoom to pray with you either before or after our service of Compline.

Intercessors are available at 8 pm and again at 8:45pm following compline at the following zoom link: tinyurl.org/Stgprayer.

Compline is streamed live from our Nave at 8:30 pm at www.saintgeorgeschurch.org/live.

You will find an order of service here as well, so you can participate from home. Join us as we pray together this Advent.

What is Intercessory Prayer?

Intercessory prayer is a ministry of presence, in which the intercessor prays to God on behalf of another. Intercessors welcome petitioners, those who have something to ask of God, and help them find the right words. Through brief dialog with someone who has a petition, the petitioner and the intercessor collaborate on placing the petition before God.

What is Compline?

Compline, meaning complete, is the final service (or office) in the Christian tradition of cannonical hours. These night prayers include a confession of sins, one or more psalms, a short reading from scripture, versicles and responses, the Lord’s Prayer and collects which ask for God’s protection during the night. Also included are the Nunc dimittis canticle and a hymn.

Join us for Compline every Thursday at 8:30 pm
