Adult Formation

At St. George's, adult education and formation is an ongoing commitment to engagement in the larger community. We seek to grow together in faith, which is sometimes uncomfortable but always worthwhile. Join us for worship services, Sunday forums, special events, small groups meetings and outreach opportunities. And, look around and ask yourself what unique gifts you bring to the table and how you might offer them in community. Education and formation should never be a static offering of classes, but an ever-evolving environment of curiosity, vulnerability, openness, and loving kindness.

Current Adult Forum

Adult Forum: "Reclaiming Jesus: A Confession of Faith in a Time of Crisis, 9:30 AM, Parish Hall. 10/28, 11/4, 11/11, 11/25.We will be continuing with the second half of this series starting on 10/21. Sunday we come to church and in the ancient words of the Nicene Creed we profess the good news of Christ crucified, died and resurrected. What does this profession of faith mean for our walk as Christians through today's perilous and polarizing times in America? For more about the Reclaiming Jesus statement see Join your fellow St. Georgians as we explore this question in the second half of the series. Elliott Branch and Margret Hjalmarson, Adult Forum Coordinators.

St. George’s offers adult forums from 9:30 to 10:15 AM each Sunday from September through June in the Parish Hall. Adult forums may also be scheduled during the summer. Our intention is to support the members of our community as we seek to live out the Baptismal Covenant and to express our unique calling as followers of Jesus Christ.

St. George’s adult forums offer a wonderful opportunity to really consider the big questions of our faith, guided by thoughtful, knowledgeable speakers drawn from our parish and from the wider church community. So, grab a cup of coffee and join us each Sunday.

When we don't have an adult forum, we join together from 9:30-10:15 in the parish hall for "Going Deeper With Today's Gospel." Led by that Sunday's preacher, we reflect on how that Sunday's Gospel connects with our daily lives.

St. George’s schedules “quiet night events” near the start of the seasons of Advent and Lent to provide an opportunity to spend time in prayer and meditation.

The St. George's community has a wide-array of small group offerings. More information on these coming soon.
